COLUMBIA, KY - No. 12-ranked Lindsey Wilson football scored 42 unanswered points to sprint past visiting Lyon (AR) 63-17 today at Blue Raider Stadium.

Lyon (0-2) turned the first Blue Raider turnover of the season into a short-field touchdown to climb within 21-17 with a little more than 10 minutes left in the third quarter.

Following the score, Lindsey Wilson defense did not yield another point over the last 25 minutes and the Blue Raider offense exploded for six touchdowns en route to improving to 2-0 on the season.

Jalen Sublett scored on a three-yard plunge to cap a five-play, 86-yard drive to push the Lindsey Wilson lead to 28-17. Sublett - who was one of four running backs to find the endzone on the day - ended the game with 62 rushing yards and two scores.

After the Blue Raider defense forced a three-and-out, Lindsey Wilson quarterback Dylan Beasley connected with Jay Gaudlock for a 12-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 35-17. Gaudlock caught a team-high seven balls for 91 yards and a touchdown.

Beasley posted his third career 300-yard passing game, finishing with a career-high 381 yards. He added three touchdown tosses in the win.

Jailen Reed and Jayven Jones scored rushing touchdowns in the final quarter and joined Sublett and Blake Ingleton with rushing scores. The Blue Raider ground attack racked up 174 yards on the day -- part of 574 yards of total offense.

Cedric Washington, Tyrone Stallard and Umar Tate joined Gaudlock with touchdown receptions during the game.

After failing to record a takeaway in the season opener, the Lindsey Wilson defense came away with a pair of fumble recoveries in the win. The Blue Raiders limited the Scots to 235 yards of total offense in the game, including just 46 yards in the second half.

Beasley capped a 62-yard drive to open the game with a 30-yard touchdown toss to Washington for the 7-0 lead. Washington hauled in his second score in as many games, finishing with 86 receiving yards.

Ingleton made it 14-0 with a powerful 20-yard run with just under 10 minutes left in the opening quarter.

Lyon's Dwane Robinson cut the deficit in half with a quarterback keeper to break up the shutout. Robinson tallied 36 yards on the ground while throwing for 109 yards in the loss.

Sublett pushed the lead to 21-7 with his first touchdown of the day from five yards out. Ingleton set of the one-play drive with an 89-yard kickoff return -- the fifth longest return in the program's history.

Lyon, however, took the momentum into the locker room with a 40-yard Osvaldo Espericueta field goal as time expired in the first half.

Robinson cut the Lindsey Wilson lead to four with his lone touchdown pass of the day to Michael Bowles in the early stages of the third quarter.

Lindsey Wilson responded with the six-touchdown spurt en route to the 63-17 win.

Trent Mueller led the Blue Raider defense with 12 tackles. R.J. Jennings and D'Andre Hart each contributed a sack in the win.
