CHFS suspends licenses of Louisville child care facility Action follows death of a child. The CHFS Office of Inspector General received a complaint Tuesday morning that a staff person providing transportation services for Lil' Kings and Queens had left a two-year-old child unattended in a vehicle for several hours on Monday. The incident resulted in the child's death. During the investigation, the OIG determined a staff member employed by the center picked up the child from his residence and, evidence indicates, failed to deliver the child to the facility as planned. Harley Elizabeth Hawkins wins E/MC Chamber Scholarship Harley will attend Western Kentucky University with a major in agriculture education. After graduation she plans to return to Metcalfe County and begin teaching agriculture in a local school. She also plans to help manage the family farm operation. The Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce Memorial Scholarship is funded in part by donations made in memory of loved ones. An acknowledgement card is mailed to the family. This year's five hundred dollar scholarship was made possible by the memorial contributions made in memory of Truman "Slick" Harris, Curtis Boswell, Morris Lee Smith, Sue Clark Shive, Hildred "Pete" Jessie, Joe Anderson, James Howard Young, and Ruby Lowe Berry. (I waited 40 minutes on the phone for someone but was determined to talk to them) the lady stated it was a scam that the IRS NEVER calls anyone, they always send notifications by mail never the phone. LWC baseball moves up to No. 24 in NAIA Coaches' Poll By David Gerhart After moving down in the last two NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Lindsey Wilson baseball team moved up one spot to 24th in the poll, the national office announced on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders jumped to No. 24 as they garnered 130 voting points. Lindsey Wilson is currently 32-17 on the season and they are set to face Taylor (Ind.), who is receiving votes, on Tuesday evening.
