LWC baseball moves up to No. 24 in NAIA Coaches' Poll

After moving down in the last two NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Lindsey Wilson baseball team moved up one spot to 24th in the poll, the national office announced on Tuesday.

The Blue Raiders jumped to No. 24 as they garnered 130 voting points. Lindsey Wilson is currently 32-17 on the season and they are set to face Taylor (Ind.), who is receiving votes, on Tuesday evening. Lindsey Wilson caps off their MSC regular season against St. Catharine (Ky.) this weekend.


Campbellsville (Ky.) is the only other Mid-South team ranked in the top 25 as they moved up to 16th in the poll. The Tigers earned 267 points and are currently 32-10 on the year.

Georgia Gwinnett remained atop the poll with 11 of the 18 first-place votes and 486 total points.

Bellevue (Neb.) moved up to No. 2 with 481 points and five first place votes. Faulkner (Ala.) also moved up one spot after they garnered 462 points and one first place vote. Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) slipped to No. 4 in the poll with 451 points and the final first place vote. USC Beaufort (S.C.) rounds out the top five with 437 total points.
