Letter: Wants to see more Christmas Cards on the Square Jamie Isabelle writes: As I drive around the square it's sad to see no where near the amount of Christmas cards as there were crazy scarecrows. It seems that Halloween was a more important holiday than Christmas, The birth of our Lord. I truly hope by Christmas day more people will add to the collection. Mayor Hardwick issues statement on PAC changing course PAC changes course: Going for countywide wet-dry. Statement follows decision by Progress in Adair to change the Wet-Dry vote from City only to Countywide. Columbia Mayor Curtis Hardwick makes statement: There was a group of people that got this started. We all agreed that city is where it needed to be because it has a better chance of passing. There was a lot of excitement in the fact that the city could go wet. After this latest change by PAC has gotten out, I have people come to me with concerns that it won't pass countywide. My biggest problem with the move is all the work that several people have done for the city to go wet, , all the people that donated money for the city to go wet, and all the people that started this thing and worked for this who were not involved in the decision to make the change. - Curtis Hardwick, Mayor, City of Columbia, KY.Statement dated December 10, 2015 2015-12-10 10:02:12 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
