Janet Stovall, 74, Barren Co., KY (1941-2015)

She was the matriarch of a highly regarded family. She was a retired cook from Barren County Health Care and of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late James and Bertie Mae Fancher and the widow of Leamon Fancher. She leaves seven direct living descendants spanning four generations.

Janet Stovall age 74 of Glasgow, KY, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Friday, December 11, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pmCT until 8pmCT, Thursday, December 10, 2015, and after 9amCT, Friday at the funeral home.



Janet Stovall, 74, Barren Co., KY (1941-2015)


She was born February 13, 2015. She was the daughter of the late James and Bertie Mae Smith Fancher. She died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 74 years, eight months, and 25 days.

She was a retired cook from Barren County Health Care and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Kathy Riordan and husband Dennis, Lisa Shank and husband Steve all of Glasgow, KY

  • Four sisters: Janette Owens and husband Charles of Horse Cave, KY; Susan Cross and husband Arnold of Knob Lick, KY; Jennifer McKinney of Knob Lick, KY; and Rometta Davenport and husband Larry of Glasgow, KY

  • Two brothers: Damon Fancher of Glasgow, KY; and Carlos Fancher of Center, KY

  • Two grand daughters: Michelle Lee Bunch and Stephanie Rachelle Shank

  • Two great grand daughters: Zoe Dallas Rena Taylor and Lanzlee Grace Milton

  • One great grandson: Stephen Hunter Lee Bunch
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leamon Stovall; a daughter Martha Jo Stovall; grand daughter Lorie Rena Riordan; five brothers. Maxie, Vernon, Billy, Chester and Charles Fancher; and one sister, Thelma Louise Poynter.
