COLUMBIA, KY - No. 10 Lindsey Wilson softball is the No. 2 seed in the four-team double-elimination Lindsey Wilson Bracket of the 2014 Softball National Championship Opening Round hosted by Lindsey Wilson College. It is the second-straight year Lindsey Wilson has been chosen to be one of the 10 host sites.

Mrs. Irma Jo Shepperson, 60, Taylor County, KY (1954-2014)

She was the daughter of the late James and Helen Irene (Ritchie) Wilson. Her husband, Delson Eugene Shepperson, survives. She leavew 19 direct living descendants. Mrs. Shepperson was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Kentucky where she had worked as a receptionist and secretary. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Campbellsville.

Bowling Green, Ky. (MAY 9, 2014( Three lanes on I-65 north near mile marker 44 just north of the Cumberland Parkway have opened. The lanes were closed early this morning following a two semi-truck crash. The detour is being taken down and motorists can proceed north on I-65. Motorists need to be aware crews may still be working on the side of the road. - WES WATTS

$150 million aluminum facility coming to Bowling Green

Creates 80 jobs; Japanese, European partnership to supply aluminum sheets to automotive manufacturers

FRANKFORT, KY - (May 9, 2014) - Governor Steve Beshear today announced a joint venture between Constellium Nv and UACJ Corporation to build an aluminum production facility in Bowling Green. The $150-million project is one of the largest in south central Kentucky in the past decade and is expected to create 80 new jobs.

SOMERSET, KY (May 9, 2014)- Construction to widen Somerset Southeast Bypass on KY 914 in Pulaski County is expected to begin Monday, May 12.

The $15.5 million project will construct dual left turn lanes from westbound KY 80 onto KY 914 and the widening of KY 914 to four lanes between mile points 9.65 and 13.301.

CVE officers from Post 3 responded to the scene and found 2 loaded commercial vehicles had collided.

LWC Women's Golf Ranked No. 20 in Final Coaches’ Top 25 Poll

Blue Raiders finished just shy of receiving an at-large bid to the national tournament

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women’s golf team is ranked No. 20 in the final NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Thursday.

The Blue Raiders took second place at the Mid-South Conference Tournament on April 21-23 and received 185 total points in the poll.
