LWC Nursing solicits stories for Nurses Week From Lindsey Wilson College Nursing Division Lindsey Wilson College Nursing Division joins the nation in celebrating National Nurses Week, which is held every year in May. The purpose of National Nurses Week is to raise public awareness of the value of nursing and to help educate the public about the vital roles registered nurses play in meeting the health care needs of the American people. To celebrate National Nurses Week, the Lindsey Wilson College Nursing Division would like to pay tribute to the number of registered nurses in our community who provide highly skilled, safe and quality care in a variety of settings, and who encounter increased challenges to their professional and ethical commitment to deliver essential health care. Dr. Marian Smith, Chair of the Nursing Division at Lindsey is soliciting stories that pay tribute to these registered nurses. Perhaps, for example, an individual may want to thank the registered nurse who cared for him/her or his/her family member; or perhaps a registered nurse was involved in saving a particular individual's life and the individual would like to show gratitude. The testimonials will be collected and posted as we celebrate Nurses over the next week. Please help us recognize our area's registered nurses and pay tribute to a particular registered nurse or to all indispensable registered nurses during this special time. Stories can be sent to nursing@lindsey.edu This story was posted on 2014-05-09 08:11:07
