Today, Saturday, May 3, 2014, Sugarfoot Farm Rescue cleaned up 3 miles of Sparksville Road as part of Pride Clean Up. Thanks to the help of volunteers it was done in three hours.

She was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Gladys Gentry Curry. She leaves 7 direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Cedar Cliff Baptist Church. She retired from Dart Container Corporation in Horse Cave.

The Farmer's Market on the Square is open every Saturday from 8am-1pmCT, at the Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY.

You can start your day with a great breakfast, shop for everything you'll need for the week and still have time to have lunch with us. You might even make some new friends.

CJE reminds Adair residents to take advantage of free tipping

Today is second and final day of free tipping at Transfer Station

Judge Executive Ann Melton and the Adair County Fiscal Court encourages residents of Adair County to take advantage of free tipping to dispose of unwanted items and materials on 7am-3pmCT, today Saturday, May 3, 2014, 7am-12pmCT, at the Mid-State Transfer Station, 877 L Willis Road, Columbia, KY, Phone 270-384-6014.

These items will not be accepted:
Tires, hazardous material, dirt, concrete, rocks, stacks lumber, steel cables, burning barrels, capacitors, tanks (acetylene, oxygen, propane)
Note: Paint will be accepted only if it has been dried with either sand and/or cat litter.

Personnel will be on-site to help with unloading

LWC College seniors enjoy final campus festival

COLUMBIA, KY-- Members of the Lindsey Wilson College Class of 2014 enjoyed the final festival of their college careers Thursday evening on the college's Campus Quadrangle.

The seniors were recognized at the college's "Carnival and Fun Fair," which included a special send-off to LWC seniors.
