Assault 1st investigation underway in Russell County, KY

RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY - Detective B.J. Burton is investigating an incident that occurred at 33 Cuda Drive in Russell Springs today. Post 15 received a call at 7:10anCT from Russell County Dispatch stating that they had received a call in reference to an assault.



32-year-old Andrew Burton and 47-year-old Anthony Wooten had been involved in a fight that resulted in Burton being stabbed and Wooten sustaining head injuries. Both men are from Russell County and were transported to the Russell County Hospital where they were then transported by air ambulance to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

Both men are in stable condition. The case remains under investigation. - TFC BILLY GREGORY
