Volunteers find interesting trash cleaning up Sparksville Road Soda cans, plenty of beer bottles in a dry county, a pillow, and even a meth lab Click on headline for complete article with photo(s) By Peg Schaeffer Today, Saturday, May 3, 2014, Sugarfoot Farm Rescue cleaned up 3 miles of Sparksville Road as part of Pride Clean Up. Thanks to the help of volunteers it was done in three hours. We ran out of garbage bags early in the clean up. Ariana Wooten and her Mom, Christine, used their sweatshirt as garbage bags until they got more. Peg Schaeffer and her two assistants, Jade Gaudreau and Isaac Wooten want to thank Mr. Loy who went back to his home to get us more garbage bags. It was amazing the kind of garbage we picked up. For a dry county there were a lot of beer bottles and cans, as well as liquor bottles. In addition there were soda cans, fast food bags and trash, as well as a pillow. I even found one meth lab. It's sad that residents of Adair County don't take more pride In their surroundings. It's such beautiful country. - Peg Schaeffer This story was posted on 2014-05-03 21:05:53
