She was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church, and attended Coral Hill Baptist Church in Glasgow, KY. She was the widow of Henry Anderson. She leaves Five direct and and two step living descendants.

Eunice Anderson age 86 of Glasgow, KY formerly of Burkesville, KY passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, KY with Bro. Roy Woodie and Dr. Mark Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family requests visitation 3pm-9pmCT/4pm-10pmET, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY.

Adair County Primary Center parent election results are in

Pam Cundiff, Ashley Curry win parent seats on Adair County Primary Center Site-Based Decision Maing Council. Balloting Tuesday, May 14, 2013, will decide teacher members of the SBDM

The voting is over in the elections for the two parent members of the Adair County Primary Center Site-Based Council.

From a field of 11 candidates the two receiving the most votes were Pam Cundiff and Ashley Curry. These two parents will serve as the first parent members on the Adair Primary Center Council. The council we become effective as of July 1, 2013.

Three way tie forces runoff in ACES SBDM election

Chad Bivens, Michael Carter, and Neal Gold will be on ballot to be voted 7am-8:30amCT and 2pm-3:30pmCT, Thursday, May 16, 2013, ballot, to be voted Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Adair County Elementary School, 870 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY.
Teacher members already elected for 2013-2014 are Teresa Absher, Candace Flatt, and Marian Grant.

Today marked the elections for the parent members of the Adair County Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Council...There were eight nominees on the ballot...Once the voting was complete there was a three way tie for the most votes. With the Site Based Decision Making Council having only two parent members this tie means that there will be a second election.

Adair County School Superintendent Alan Reed is holding a special press conference this morning at 8:30amCT, Monday, May 13, 2013, at board room of the Adair County School District, 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, for local area media.

The press conference has been billed as the unveiling of a special project, a new mobile classroom which will be used largely on the Adair School District campus for the Gifted and Talented students at the four (next year) Adair County Schools.

Injury wreck Glens Fork Area Sunday, May 12, 2013

Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle wreck Sunday, May 12, 2013, just after 4pmCT. Brittany Meyers, 19 of Jamestown, KY, was operating her 2001 Dodge Stratus when she dropped off the shoulder at the intersection of South 55 and 768 then overcorrected plowing into an earth embankment. Meyers was transported to Westlake via ambulance for possible injuries. Adair Search and Rescue also responded to the scene. --Deputy Adam Cravens
