Robbie Harmon, Principal

Today marked the elections for the parent members of the Adair County Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Council...There were eight nominees on the ballot...Once the voting was complete there was a three way tie for the most votes. With the Site Based Decision Making Council having only two parent members this tie means that there will be a second election.

The three nominees who were tied for most votes were Chad Bivens, Michael Carter and Neal Gold. The second election will only contain the three top vote earners from the initial election, which are Mr. Bivens, Mr. Carter and Mr. Gold.

The second election to find the two parent members of the ACES Site Based Decision Making Council will be contested by Chad Bivens, Michael Carter, and Neal Gold. Theirs will be the only names on ballot to be voted 7am-8:30amCT and 2pm-3:30pmCT Thursday, May 16, 2013.

All voting will occur at Adair County Elementary School which is located at 870 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY.

We would like to encourage all parents of a student that will be attending ACES next year to stop by and cast your vote.

The teacher members of the ACES Site Based Council were elected last week. The teacher members for the 2013-14 SBDM Council will be Teresa Absher, Candace Flatt, and Marian Grant.

If you have any question feel free to contact the school at 270-384-9118.

Have a great afternoon!
