All change is not progress

Martha Berry writes:
Isn't it a shame that all our beautiful farmland is being eaten up by "development," land that can never be reclaimed. And all in the name of progress. As my sister-in-law said when a farm near them was to be developed "All change is not progress." We live in such a beautiful area and because we are so close to it, may not appreciate what we have. I realize that economics enters into the equation, but isn't there someplace that is not so picturesque that can be "developed"? - Martha Berry

Regrettably things did not work out for the Farm Home and Garden Expo this year. I know that many of the vendors who had signed up were local organizations and artisans who have worked hard to prepare for the event.
