Arc of KY/Arc Lake Cumberland offer free training session Training in Somerset, KY designed to help caregivers of individuals with disabilities to plan for the future of their loved one By Patty Dempsey The Arc of Kentucky, Inc. and The Arc of Lake Cumberland are pleased to invite caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities to attend a free training session in Somerset, Kentucky on May 21, 2011, where they will learn how to plan for the future of the individual with disabilities. The training "The Future Is Now" will be held at the Holiday Inn Express, 50 Stevie Lynn DR, in Somerset, KY from 9:30am-12:30pmET/8:30am/11:30amCT. Caregivers will learn how to create a vision for the desired future for the individual with disabilities. The individuals and other family members and/or friends are encouraged to attend and assist in the process. Each family will receive a resource notebook with valuable information about wills, special needs trusts, guardianship, financial matters and services.
