Doesn't want to miss next Lindsey Wilson music program About: Adair Co treated to gathering of musical excellence To ColumbiaMagazine.com: Wow! Wow! My senses are stoked from the energy of your description of the evening and artistic depiction of the goings on. In spite of my extensive and I thought, more than adequate Introduction to Music 101 under Ms. Covington at Lindsey Wilson during the Dark Ages (`69 thru `71), I don't know a thing you just said. But, boy, am I so sorry that I missed it. As soon as the powers that be schedule an event of this nature again it is going on my schedule promptly and without hesitation. s/Billy Joe Fudge 2010-04-26 15:08:43 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback

Jim Leigh: A great advocate for kids About: Scenic Adair Co KY Leigh Monument By Vicky Compton I was there for the dedication of Jim's memorial one beautiful spring day. Our families worked together coaching Little League Basketball at Sparksville and shared many happy times together. Tip from Tarheel State: Mothballs repel snakes About: Birds of Kentucky Eggs of little bird escaped disaster To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I hear that moth balls are a great snake repellant - moth balls "supposedy" are the same material as the commercial snake repellant. Going to give it a try on the slithering creatures here in North Carolina this year to help keep them out of my garage! s/Dave Burton Thanks for the tip. Thanks for keeping us posted. Let us know when the Burmese Pythons make it there from Florida, or if any black bears get et by alligators. We've got about all we can do contending with monster cow snakes and coyotes. And we still haven't settled, in Adair County a lot of the big issues facing us, like whether Saboo, the side show wildman who ate the heads off chickens, really was an imposter of English nobility who actually had a PhD from Oxford. -EW 2010-04-26 10:47:24 | Comments | Printable version
