Missing Shaggy dog may have been on W. Guardian

About: Help requested to locate missing rescued shaggy dog

To ColumbiaMagazine.com
I believe I spotted this dog over the weekend. I was on W. Guardian St. and a dog which looked very much like this one followed me to my car and even hopped in the front seat. He was very friendly. I hope this helps!

Father's Day Anthology for June 21, 2009

By Crystal Broyles

My sisters, brother and I were fortunate enough to have had a wonderful father, Jim Hayes. Our Dad passed away 3 years ago. He was the best father in every sense of the word that any child could have ever asked for. He was always there in any and every way for us at all times. We were truly blessed and he is missed everyday by us all.

Father's Day tribute to Paul Curry

Father's Day Anthology for June 21, 2009

By Mary Anna Burns

Today is a day to honor our Father's and today is a sad day because 3 years ago today, I lost my Dad, Paul Curry.

My Dad loved people and he loved traveling and singing in the gospel group, The Melody Aires Quartet, but as much as he loved singing, he always made time for us and he was the best Daddy a girl could ever have had. I love and miss him very much.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

II's Just Me Again #047: The Old Church Piano
The next earlier Chuck Hinman story is Large Gardens-A Lost Art Reader comments to CM are appreciated, as are emails directly to Mr. Hinman at: charles.hinman@sbcglobal.net

by Chuck Hinman

Over the years, our church accumulated several "clunker" pianos. No one relishes hauling one of these huge babies to the landfill where it belonged years ago! It is always felt that someone, somewhere could use it for their little Sara Lou, who plays "Chopsticks" like you wouldn't believe! A budding protege in the shadows of the church who is always looking for a piano player.

"Somebody's Knocking"

One Friday night Guy and I went to Louisville for no particular reason. Actually, my birthday was the next day, so I guess that was reason enough for an overnight trip.

Saturday morning Guy, who is more alert in the mornings than I, announced that he was going to the lobby for coffee and would bring back an assortment of goodies from the continental breakfast. I liked that idea because it gave me time to shower and dress with him out of my way.

Mom and the library: Memories of Mrs. Henry

That "look," telegraphed from the choirloft to the second pew by Mrs. Henry, was all it took to maintain proper decorum among the little Henry's in church, when Rev. V.P. Henry was in the pulpit

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

Ed, I just read your old story of your adventure as a projectionist..

You mentioned my mother and her "look". How well the little Henry's knew that look. Probably not my older sister, but I am sure that Ed and Vic were also acquainted with it and I surely remember it.
