Letter: Randy Burns excited about Diamond Rio

Good morning Ed,

I thought I would write to say how excited I am that the Down Town Days Festival is sponsoring such a huge event as the Diamond Rio concert next Saturday night! I've seen Diamond Rio twice and they put on an amazing show and I can't wait to see them again.

I even had the chance to meet the band after one of the shows and the members are extremely friendly people which makes it even easier being a fan.

Horses: KY suspends two Ohio veterinarians

Commonwealth News Center story

Two veterinarians attending to horses competing at The Red Mile harness track in Lexington were indefinitely suspended today by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) pending the results of an on-going investigation. On Wednesday, two KHRC investigators searched two trucks owned by Rick Mather and Rick Rothfuss, who are partners in a veterinary practice in Columbus, Ohio.

The investigators seized records and unidentified substances, said Lisa Underwood, KHRC executive director. The substances will be sent to a laboratory for testing.

Richard Williams, KHRC's presiding judge for standardbred racing, imposed the suspension after reviewing the physical evidence. A hearing on the suspension is pending.
