Woody Blankenship, 70, Green County, KY/Adair Co. native (1947-2017)

He attended Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and was a former truck driver. He was the son of the late Woodrow & Clarice Leach Blankenship, and the widower of Glenda Carol Blankenship. He leaves 12 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Columbia City Cemetery.

Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments 13 Jun 2017

Indictments against 14 persons from Columbia, Jamestown, Somerset and Knifley, KY, and Watertown, TN. Charges include murder, burglary, trafficking, possession, receiving stolen property, speeding, assault, DUI, and flagrant nonsupport.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

Be glad the cat is sitting on your vehicle. If Blue is as knowledgeable of vehicles as my cats appear to be, the vehicle is in good running condition.

Several years ago we had a 1996 Explorer. The cats would meet me at the gate, and trot down the driveway alongside the Explorer, many times too close to the tires for my comfort. They slept on the vehicle and in general seemed to think it was wonderful.

LOUISVILLE, KY (Thu 15 Jun 2017) - Kentucky allergists Bruce Wolf and Kiro John Yun, have agreed to pay $740,578 to resolve alleged violations of the False Claims Act, announced United States Attorney John E. Kuhn, Jr. Wolf and Yun, P.S.C. (W&Y) is a medical practice group of otolaryngologists specializing in allergy, asthma and immunology with offices located in Bardstown, Elizabethtown and Leitchfield, KY.

The government alleged that W&Y submitted false claims when billing Medicare, TRICARE and the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP). District of Kentucky.

Mrs. Marlene Joy Pritchard, Greensburg, KY/Chicago, IL native (1943-2017)

She was a former advertising agent for the Chicago Sun-Times and the Central Kentucky News Journal. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. Although she didn't have natural children, she cared for, loved, and raised several of her brothers and sisters-in-law. Mrs. Pritchard shared over forty years of marriage with Samuel Dean Pritchard until his death in 2006.

D. W. Crawley, Jr., Taylor County, KY (1929-2017)

He professed faith in Christ and was a life-time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for sixty years. He was known as being a very caring, loving and generous person with his time and he ministered to numerous people in his church and community. He and his wife of 67 years, Sarah Laverne, who survives, opened their home and were affectionately known as "Mom and Pop." He had retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and was a former co-owner of Superior Radio in Lebanon, KY. He was the son of the late ennis Wilmore Crawley, Sr. & Isla Mae Hunt Crawley. He leaves 20 direct living descendants.
