Lady needing assistance at Christmas - gets offer of help

About: - Mother wants advice on how to add children to Angel Tree list

Sally Kemp writes:
Ed, as I was reading the letter from the lady needing info on how to place her children on the Angel tree list... it occurred to us that she probably has limited funds for a proper Thanksgiving meal. We would love to ensure she has the proper provisions for that meal. We would gladly take responsibility for providing her children a Christmas celebration, as well. Would you please get permission to give us information in order to do both these things for her family?

Many thanks,

- Sally and Jimmy Kemp
Thanks - Thanks. What a great gesture in the spirit of the season. As soon as we can, we'll obtain the information you need. - EW

Poetry by Robert Stone: None asks why or how: a word-list

None asks why or how: a word-list sonnet
Poetry by Robert Stone
No gateway welcomes diver into waves.
A quick or slow determination marks
our entry into temporary graves
of transcendental lust for brighter sparks.

No pathway hails graffiti-wise stop now.
Advancing thoughtless brings us to that point
where all is clear and none asks why or how
or all the pieces scattered are disjoint.

No passage knows a charm to limit love.
A wobble of the head, the heart, the brain
precedes sight wonders shadowless above
before aphotic turbulences claim.

Our wishes unfulfilled have left us starved

like pumpkins decorated but uncarved.

~ Robert Stone, 14 October 2016
Word List: Graffiti - wobble - gateway - transcendental - lust - aphotic - quick - love - turbulence - pumpkin.
This poem was written for Poetry in the Boro. The words were choices of the audience at the September reading. I later thought it might be called: Falling in love. - Robert Stone

Mother wants advice on how to add children to Angel Tree list

Mother of Two writes
I have two children a boy who is 4 and a girl who will be a year old 13 days before christmas. I have never had to put them on an Angel Tree List and don't really know how. Is there a way to do it through an email? Is it free? I feel so helpless having to do this but we recently moved and my husband just started working and I'm capable of working; however, we can't afford daycare. Please let me know if there is any way to do this over the phone even through an email. God bless you all. - Mother of Two (name on file)
Dear Mother: - Your letter is posted in the hopes that those familiar with the program will offer the information you need. In this caring community, we're certain that you'll be assisted, just as all of us hope, that if our turn comes to need assistance, the community will be here for us. Our hope is this Christmas will be a joyous one for you and your children. - EW
