Multivehicle crash in a work zone claims life of KYTC employee

On Glasgow Road N of Scottsville. Second employee sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries

BOWLING GREEN, KY - (December 22, 2015) - A multivehicle crash has claimed the life of a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) employee and resulted in the injury of another.

Titus Morris, 34, of Scottsville died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash. The other KYTC worker, Jeffrey Harrison, 56, of Scottsville was taken by Allen County EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for non-life threatening injuries.

British company to invest $17.2 million in Shepherdsville

With new manufacturing facility, athletic supplement producer Cend LLC to create 350 jobs in Bullitt County

FRANKFORT, KY - (Dec. 21, 2015) - British nutrition supplement maker Cend LLC plans to open a production facility in Bullitt County bringing up to 350 jobs and an investment of $17 million, Governor Matt Bevin announced today.

"We welcome this fast growing, global company to the community and region. International companies such as Cend provide economic activity vital to Kentucky's growth," said Gov. Bevin.

Meet Your New 2016 Chamber President Ellen Zornes

New Chamber President, has been an individual member of the Chamber of Commerce for many years and helped found and develop the Chamber’s first leadership program, L.E.A.D. Adair County. She has been a member of the Chamber Board of Directors for the past three years serving as Vice President for two of those years. Her other current longtime volunteer duties include Adair County Retired Teachers, Adair Heritage Association, Rotary Club and Lake Cumberland Children’s Advocacy Center. She and JD attend Columbia Baptist Church.

Ellen was born in Lexington, Kentucky but didn’t live there until years later when she attended the University of Kentucky (UK). Her father was a Baptist minister so they moved around quite a bit. LWC Football ranked No. 13 in NAIA Postseason Top 25 Poll

Blue Raiders ranked No. 13; Marian College is No. 1. Campbellsville University comes in at No. 11 in NAIA Postseason Coaches' Top 25 poll. Lindsey Wilson finishes the 2015 season with an 8-3 record and a second-straight appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series Playoffs.

COLUMBIA, KY (Mon 21 Dec 2015) - The Lindsey Wilson football team wraps up the 2015 season with a No. 13 ranking in the NAIA Postseason Coaches' Poll, the national office announced on Monday.

The Blue Raiders collected a total of 152 voting points from the panel of national raters.

Lindsey Wilson also earned a No. 13 ranking in the final regular-season coaches' poll released back on November 15.

National champion Marian (IN) claims the No. 1 spot with 262 points and all 12 first-place votes. National runner-up Southern Oregon is No. 2 with 252 points and Morningside (Iowa) comes in at No. 3 with 240 points.

Along with Lindsey Wilson, three other members of the Mid-South Conference West Division appear in the poll, the most of any conference. Reinhardt (GA) comes in at No. 10, Campbellsville (Ky.) is No. 11 and Faulkner (AL) is ranked No. 23. Lindsey Wilson finishes the 2015 season with an 8-3 record and a second-straight appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series Playoffs.

Request to Adair County Sheriff's Office from Probation and Parole for search of vehicle at local Probation office leads to search, arrests. Two Burkesville, KY residents lodged in Adair County Regional Jail.

COLUMBIA, KY - On Monday December 21, Deputy Justin Cross was asked to assist Probation and Parole on a vehicle search of a parolee at Probations local office.

Upon arrival Deputy Cross searched and located several items of drug paraphernalia as well as what was believed to be methamphetamine product inside the vehicle.
