Request for vehicle search at probation office leads to arrests

Request to Adair County Sheriff's Office from Probation and Parole for search of vehicle at local Probation office leads to search, arrests. Two Burkesville, KY residents lodged in Adair County Regional Jail.

COLUMBIA, KY - On Monday December 21, Deputy Justin Cross was asked to assist Probation and Parole on a vehicle search of a parolee at Probations local office.

Upon arrival Deputy Cross searched and located several items of drug paraphernalia as well as what was believed to be methamphetamine product inside the vehicle.



Jennifer McCoy, 25 of Burksville, KY, was taken into custody for a probation violation while operator of the vehicle Charles McCoy, 27 also of Burksville, KY, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia as well as possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine.

Both parties were lodged in Adair County Jail. Deputy Justin Cross is investigating. --Deputy Adam Cravens

Note: A person charged in an arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
