CHS academic teams compete By Calen McKinney Campbellsville High School's academic teams competed on Monday, Nov. 30. The varsity teams took on Russell County for two matches, with Russell County coming out on top. And the junior varsity team competed against Green County, with Green County winning the match. The CHS academic team will end its regular competition season on Monday, Dec. 7, with a tournament at Adair County. The matches will start at 6 p.m. ET. Awards will be given after the matches. KY Historical Society adds Beshear's portrait to Hall of Governors FRANKFORT, KY (Dec. 1, 2015) - The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) today added Gov. Steve Beshear's portrait to the Kentucky Hall of Governors at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History. Beshear and his family unveiled the painting by Joy Thomas, a nationally known portrait artist from Murray, at an afternoon ceremony. Thomas completed the painting in 2011 at the end of Beshear's first administration. It has been displayed at the State Capitol Building since then. The socks can be one pair or one pack - the amount doesn't matter as long as the items are new. They will also be accepting hats, gloves, and scarves as the students become more aware of the extra need in Louisville.
