CU School of Social Work to help the Homeless

At the end of the semester after December 11, 2015, the Carver School of Social Work will take the gifts collected for the Homeless to Wayside Christian Mission so that there will be plenty of supplies as they prepare for winter.

By Jordan Snider, student news writer

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY. - "Sock It To the Homeless, Warm Feet From Warm Hearts" is a new campaign created by the Carver School of Social Work for this upcoming winter season.

The Louisville Campus is asking for help from the entire student body and staff by collecting donations of new socks to put on the feet of the homeless in Louisville. The socks can be one pair or one pack - the amount doesn't matter as long as the items are new. They will also be accepting hats, gloves, and scarves as the students become more aware of the extra need in Louisville.

"Don't worry. As long as you have it at security you'll be fine," the ticket person assured me.
