He was the son of the late Elza & Lonetta Thomas Humphress of Adair County. Among his survivors, a brother, Billy Humphress, and one sister, Louise Humphress are residents of Adair County, KY.

Robert W. Humphress, 74 of Largo, FL formerly of Adair County, Kentucky died Friday, November 27, 2015.

Services at 9amCT/10amET, Thursday, December 3, 2015, all at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. Friends are calling Thursday, December 3, 2015, 8am-9pmCT/9am-10pmET.


Robert is predeceased by his parents Elza & Lonetta (Thomas) Humphress of Adair County, KY and two brothers Wallace and Joe Humphress.

Surviving are the following:
  • Four children: Lonetta (Shawn) Sluss, Richard (David Rodriguez) Hicks, Rebecca (Craig) Loomis and Kenneth (Ashley) Hicks

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren

  • One brother Billy (Sue) Humphress of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Louise (William) Butler of Columbia, KY; and Mary (Jim) Hamilton of Beason, Illinois

  • Several nieces and nephews
