Smooth Election Process

2015-11-03 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener.
Sheriff Moss said it was a smooth election day in Adair County. All precincts were in within about an hour after the 6pmCT poll closings. In the counting room are, standing, Sheriff Moss; at the left table, clockwise, from front, J.C. Lasley; Board of Elections member Billy Curry, Republican; and Ben Loy, Democrat; Sheila Blair, then County Clerk Lisa Lee. At the computers are Nadalie Inscho, Vicky Hodge and Macy Feese. Not photographed, but receiving the ballots, were Sheila Hayes and Becky Rogers. Couriers between the basement counting room and the clerk's office upstairs were Brooklyn Coomer and Tabitha Denton. The final vote tally saw a Republican landslide in Adair County, with the Matt Bevin led slate winning every race in every precinct in Adair County, just as known Republican Murrell Burton had predicted on November 2, 2015. - EW
