Parents/Guardians can pick up Car Rider forms By Patty R. Jones, Principal Parents/Guardians wishing to pick up their child each afternoon as a car rider at Adair County Primary Center during the 2015-16 school year may sign up for car tags in advance. They will be able to pick up the tags at the school's open house in August. This will allow them to be able to receive their child in the pick up line the at the end of the on the day school begins and never have to leave their car! Harold Gene Embry, Freedom Community, 71,(1943-2015) He was a native of Lee, KY, and a resident of the Freedom Community at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Crit & Eva Embry. His wife, Dianna Embry, survives. He leaves 21 direct living descendants. He was a brick mason and of the Baptist faith Harold Gene Embry, age 71, of the Freedom Community, died, Monday, June 15, 2015, at his home. Gordon Blaine McKee, Russell Co., KY (1941-2015) He owned and operated several businesses throughout his life, and in 1986 purchased property on Lake Cumberland, Ky and developed Timber Pointe Resort Park in Russell County, KY. After selling the park he had also owned & operated Hookers Crane truck for several years. He was a state certified electrical inspector for SKRECC. Gordon was a member of the Harmony Masonic Lodge #11 F. & A.M. of Brookville, IN, where he had served in every chair. Hayes was one of 29 rising ninth-graders from 14 Kentucky counties who spent three days -- Sunday, June 14, through Tuesday, June 16 -- at Lindsey Wilson College as part of the Rogers Explorers program. On Tuesday morning, Hayes worked with Charlotte Burgard of Laurel County on a robot-simulation project. Based on a presentation LWC Instructor of Energy Technology Douglas Keaton gave at a conference about offshore oil drilling, students were grouped in pairs and charged with repairing a leak as a remote-control robot. One student wore a blindfold while the other student gave instructions on how to fix the leak.
