Nancy Aria (Ara) Mullins, 97, Taylor Co., KY (1917-2015)

She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of her birth. She was the daughter of the late George Fayette & Jenny Carmon (Spears) Capps and the widow of Charles John Mullins, her husband of 60 years. She leaves 32 direct living descendants.

Nancy Aria "Ara" Mullins, age 97, of Campbellsville died Monday, June 15, 2015 at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville, KY.

The funeral will be held at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Ken Foreman officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville. KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, June 19, 2015, Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are William Poe, John Eastridge, James Cornett, Chris Gibbs, Danny Simpson and Danny Lovett.

Nancy Aria (Ara) Mullins, 97, Taylor Co., KY (1917-2015)

She was born November 15, 1917 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late George Fayette and Jenny Carmon (Spears) Capps. She died Monday, June 15, 2015, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 97 years, five months.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Charles John Mullins on November 9, 1998. She was also predeceased by her son, Donald Mullins; a daughter, Nancy Gibbs; grandson, Donald P. Mullins; brother, Edward Capps; and sisters, Frances Phillips, Ina Lovett and Mary Edna Capps. She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Betty Cornett of Lexington, KY, and Marietta Mullins of Elizabethtown, KY

  • One son: George Mullins of Cincinnati, OH

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Twenty great-grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Eva Mintz of Munster, IN; and Loletta Kidd of Campbellsville, KY

  • and one brother: Loyd Capps of Campbellsville, KY
