Salem UMC to celebrate 150th Anniversary Sat 20 Jun 2015

The Salem United Methodist Church, 325 Linnie-Rheber Road, Liberty, KY will celebrate 150 years of service in a special anniversary celebration at 3pmET Saturday, June 20, 2015.

The church was founded by Robert Franklin Mills, his wife, Mary Adaline Mills and other interested individuals and Rev. Mills served as the first pastor of the church. He was also a Chaplain in the 13th. Kentucky Cavalry during the Civil War.

During this special celebration, he will be portrayed by a great great grandson, Rev. Paul W. Patton. All former ministers, former members as well as present members and friends of the church are cordially invited to attend. - Paul Patton
