Kentucky State Police Post 3, Bowling Green , KY

On Monday, May 25, 2015 at approximately 2:15pmCT, the Kentucky State Police located the body of missing 2 year old Laynee Wallace in an area in close proximity to where she was originally reported missing. An autopsy will be performed next in Louisville.

She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Willie V. and Sarah Vincent Crawley and the widow of Homer Scott. She was a member of the Branham Grove Baptist Church, a seamstress for Bob Evans Manufacturing, a homemaker and a farmer.

The Adair Sheriff's Office responded with Adair EMS to a single vehicle wreck Monday, May 25, 2015, on Lampton Lane.

The accident occurred when Sara Burris, 24, of Columbia, KY, was operating her 2006 Pontiac G6 headed towards Edmonton Road, when she lost control in an S-curve, skidding into a ditch line and then flipping the vehicle.

Donald Edward Christie, 76, Taylor County, KY (1937-2015)


He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He retired as Sergeant First Class after twenty years of service. He was awarded numerous decorations including the Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin), Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver Star, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal.He loved to talk, never met a stranger and was an avid bingo player. William David McMahan, Taylor County, KY (1936-2015)


He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Hogards Chapel United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and received a honorable discharge. He and his brother, Eugene, went into business together in 1965 making cherry furniture, carrying on a family tradition for 50 years. He continued to make furniture until 2014.

Traffic stop results in capture of alleged fugitive from Michigan

Suspect alleged to have given Campbellsville Policeman Scotty Perian a false name. Suspect arrested and charged with list of charges, including being a fugitive from another state.

On Sunday, May 24, 2015 at approximately 1:32amCT, Officer Scotty Perian with the Campbellsville Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of Davis Street on 22 year old Jovon J. Whisenton of Detroit, MI.

During the course of the traffic stop, it was determined that Whisenton was under the influence and was subsequently arrested. Whisenton, knowing that he was wanted out of Detroit gave Officer Perian a false name and date of birth.

BOWLING GREEN, KY (21 May 2015) - Acting United States Attorney John E. Kuhn, Jr. announced the arrest and initial appearance, in U.S. District Court, of convicted felon Jackie Lee Bowles, Jr., on charges of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.

Bowles, age 26, of Bowling Green, KY, was arrested on federal charges following an alleged high-speed chase and armed standoff with law enforcement yesterday, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Bowles was charged with the possession of a loaded, General Precision Corp., Model 20, .22 caliber revolver.
