Mrs. Albie L. Crawley Scott, 95, Cumberland Co., KY (1920-2015)


She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Willie V. and Sarah Vincent Crawley and the widow of Homer Scott. She was a member of the Branham Grove Baptist Church, a seamstress for Bob Evans Manufacturing, a homemaker and a farmer.

Mrs. Albie Lee Crawley Scott, age 95, of the Bow Community in Cumberland County, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 3pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in the Branham Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11amCT, on Thursday, May 28, 2015 until the funeral hour on Friday.

She was born in Cumberland County, KY, on Sunday, May 16, 1920. She was the daughter of Willie V. and Sarah Vincent Crawley. She died Sunday, May 24, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 95 years, eight days.

She was a member of the Branham Grove Baptist Church, a seamstress for Bob Evans Manufacturing, a homemaker and a farmer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Scott, her brothers and sisters, Ermon Scott, Mabel Sells, Kenneth Crawley, Willie "Bub" Crawley, an infant baby brother and her nephew, Randall Sells.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her sister and brother-in-law: Anna Marie and J.D. Wright of Burkesville, KY
  • Her nieces: Lucille Garner, Wanda Wright, Randa Wright, Deanna Willis, Wilda Ann Kempton and Jana Thacker
  • Her great-nieces and great-nephews: Tyler Thacker, Connie Garmon, Kathy Davis, Ricky Garner, Alvin Garner, Scotty Wright, Chris Wright, Penny Manning, Jeff Wright, Jeremy Wright, Amanda Fletcher, Melita Schuenaman
  • Several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews
  • Her special true friends: Rick and Betty Smith.
