FRANKFORT, Ky. - Asian carp, beware. Gov. Steve Beshear Tuesday, November 11, 2014, announced that Riverine Fisheries International LLC plans to build a fish processing operation in Fulton County.

Riverine Fisheries will catch, clean, process, package and transport various species of Asian carp found in Kentucky's waters. The company plans to create 110 new jobs and invest $18.7 million into the project.

Junior (J.R. A. Bagby, Campbellsville, KY (1928-2014)

As a young couple J.R. & Clydene traveled the U.S. working in factories, the oilfields, managing Hillcrest skating rink and the head sawyer at Hinchcliff Products Co for many years. J.R. was a friend to all that knew him and he will be loved and remembered always. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and his signature laugh and that twinkle in his eyes will bring a smile to us all as we remember his antics and joy in his life.

LWC Baseball receives votes in NAIA Preseason Top 25 Poll

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson baseball team received four voting points in the 2015 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, as released by the national office on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. The rankings are voted upon by a panel of head coaches around the NAIA, including the Association of Independent Institutions and the NAIA West Group. Also receiving votes is Campbellsville University (KY) with 10.

Among the teams within the poll's top 25, the Mid-South Conference is represented by defending National Champion Cumberland (TN), which earned 560 total voting points as well as 19-of-20 first-place votes to head the rankings. At the No. 8 spot, Georgetown (KY) totaled 429 voting points. The remainder of the top five consists of Lewis-Clark State (ID) (535), Oklahoma Wesleyan (524; one first-place), Oklahoma Baptist (503) and Faulkner (AL) (490). In 2014, the Blue Raiders' season ended in the MSC Tournament with the team finishing 26-29 overall. The first regular-season poll will be announced on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team earned 455 voting points total to remain ranked No. 9 in the newest release of the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, as announced by the national office on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.

Excluding the preseason rankings, Lindsey Wilson (30-2, 14-0 Mid-South Conference) has now appeared within the poll's top 10 on six occasions this fall.

In the top spot, Rocky Mountain (MT) claimed 622 total voting points as well as all 22 first-place votes.

Trailing behind in the remainder of the poll's top five are Park (MO) (602), Concordia (CA) (577), Biola (CA) (567) and Texas at Brownsville (542), respectively.

The top-seeded Blue Raiders face eighth-seeded Cumberland (TN) at 11amCT on Friday, November 14, 2014, at Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY 42718.

Columbia Police seeking tips on escape from Class D Facility

Both inmates had multiple years on theft related charges. Surveillance film shows inmates fled through the front door of facility, but discovery of escape came some 50 minutes later during a routine bed check. Columbia Police Department is investigating the escape of two inmates at Adair County Regional Jail Class D Facility.

On Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at 8:55pmCT, Columbia PD Officers were notified by Adair County 911 to respond to the Class D Facility located at 23 Service Road in the limits of Columbia. Adair County Deputy Jailer's advised officers on scene that two inmates had fled the facility on foot in a unknown direction of travel.
