18 LWC Women's Soccer players earn Academic All-MSC honors

COLUMBIA, KY - Eighteen members of the Lindsey Wilson women's soccer program earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors, conference officials announced on Wednesday, 12 Nov 2014.

Michela Bengtsson, Bettina Brulhart, Johanna Henriksson, Gloria Hensley, Emilia Jonsson, Peta Kimber, Elizabet Madjarac, Lyana Perez, Megan Rauch, Carola Schneider, Ayaki Shinada, Anna Vig, Katarina Simic, Chelci Barnett, Catherine Marrinan, Marissa McCormick, Aubrey Persons and Rachael Shannon all earned the conference award.



The 18 student-athletes from Lindsey Wilson are the most from any school in the conference, followed next by Pikeville (Ky.) with 11 and Cumberland (TN) and Cumberlands (KY) each with 10.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.

Community Trust Bank, founded in 1903 in Pikeville, KY, has 71 branches, including Columbia, KY, is the sponsor of the Mid-South Conference Academic Award program.
