Bruce Roy Powell, Russell County, KY (1959-2014)

He was a native of Jefferson County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Thomas Charles Powell, and Vada P. Roy Powell, who survives. He was a former employee of Stephens Pipe & Steel and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Bruce Roy Powell, 55 of Russell Springs, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Russell County Hospital, ER, Russell Springs, KY.

A memorial service for Bruce Roy Powell will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Wheat & Bro. David Coffey officiating. Friends may call after 1:30pmCT, Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the church. Burial in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.



Bruce Roy Powell, Russell County, KY (1959-2014)


He was born Sunday, June 21, 1959 in Louisville, KY. He was the son of the late Thomas Charles Powell and Vada P. Roy Powell, who survives. He died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Russell County Hospital, ER, Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 55 years, four months, and 20 days.

He was a former employee of Stephens Pipe & Steel and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela L. Powell.

He is survived by the following:
  • Mother: Vada Powell, Russell Springs, KY

  • Sister: Tamra Powell Delk, Russell Springs, KY

  • Brother: Roger Powell, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two nephews: Christopher A. Powell, Shane T. Powell

  • A host of aunts, uncles, and cousins
The family requests memorials to Bruce Powell Memorial Fund. These can be made at the church or funeral home.
