A special (c) CM story repost

Treats on the Town, a Columbia-Adair County sponsored events, is one of Columbia's most popular festivals. It is shaping to to be a huge event. It always is. "Last year," Chairperson Debbie Selby said, "there were around 1,500 kids or at Treats on The Town." She got that figure, she said, from a rough calculation of the candy handed out by by Sheriff Harrison Moss, who had upped his candy stash from 1,000 a year earlier to 1,200 last year, and still ran out. Selby says the organizers conservatively estimated there would have been at least 300 plus more. (At a similar Knifley event, Deputy BJ Bray handed out 250 candy treats)
