Big Al, The Big Rig Trucker, has semi truck solution

By Big Al Owens

There's a simple solution for the problem of semi's continuing to drive through the Square. There should be signs at both ends of the bypass saying, "All semi's, except those making deliveries, must use bypass" and post signs pointing to the bypass. Also, I've noticed that the bypass does not show up on Google GPS. Authorities should take steps to see that it does. - BIG AL OWENS, Columbia, KY.

Looking for more information on Margaret Calhoun Hardin

Joe Goodbody writes:

Perhaps someone can help or guide me in the right direction. I am trying to research some of the descendants of Margaret Calhoun Hardin who was the sister of Parker Calhoun Hardin. She married Hiram French 16 April 1821. I believe both Hiram and Margaret died in the early 1840's and left their children in the care of Parker C Hardin. I have already accessed the various biographical sketches of Parker C. Hardin available on the internet. Are there other local sources of information? Regards and Thanks. - Joe Goodbody
