KSP Post 15 Monthly Activity for July 2014 Compared to 2013, it's been a deadly year on the Post 15 area highways. With year to date total this year 21, with six in July alone; compared to 11 year to date in the same period in 2013J By TFC. Billy Gregory, Public Affairs officer COLUMBIA, KY - During the month of July 2014, there were 24 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were six fatal collisions during the month of July in the Post 15 area:
State wide fatality count stands at 352 compared with 372 through this same period in 2013. During the month of July 2014, there were 1221 citations written, 26 courtesy notices written, 1398 vehicles inspected, 699 complaints answered, 92 motorists assisted, 71 criminal cases opened and 497 criminal arrests made.
