Adair County fire report: Fatal fire at 245 Milltown Road Identity of occupant found deceased now awaits Kentucky State Medical Examiner findings. See also, next earlier story: State Fire Marshal investigating fatal fire in Milltown Community, by Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Donald Hare, Public Information Officer Columbia/Adair County Fire Department The Adair County Fire Department responded to a residential house fire Tuesday Morning, August 5, 2014, at 6:09amCT, at 245 Milltown Road, Columbia, KY to find a multi story home engulfed in fire. Upon initial search there was one occupant found deceased from the fire. There were 17 firemen on the scene from Columbia-Adair County Department and 5 members from the Breeding Fire Department. Members were on the scene for around 4.5 hours. The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation by the Adair County Coroner's Office, Ky State Police and Ky State Fire Marshall's Office.
