Test score bright spots even better -

Alan W. Reed writes
I want to thank Ms. Phyllis Curry and others who pointed out two glaring eliminations in our media release today.

First was the score of 100 in fourth grade language mechanics at JAIS (I had already mentioned the perfect score, a 100 in fourth grade science, also at JAIS).

Second, ACES 6th grade math scores were #1 of the 18 surrounding districts. We were all being "pressed by the press" this morning to get the data out and somehow I just blew it on these awesome achievements made.

To all of you who make me, your school, and district look great, and who are great source of pride for me: I personally thank you!

Sincerely,

- Alan W. Reed, Superintendent

John Adair scored proficient, just two points shy of distinguished

Proud of role CWC plays as feeder school to JAIS, and that for state testing, John Adair and Col. Casey are considered "Joint School".

By Patty Jones, Principal, Col. Wm Casey School
Today is the release day for the 2011-2012 state test results. Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School is considered a "joint school" with John Adair.

While no students are tested statewide at K-2 our students feed directly into JAIS and their 3-5 results reflect back to our school and the preparation students receive here.

I am thrilled to announce that John Adair/Casey scored in the 88%tile in the state.
