ADAIR Band: Report from Scottsville, KY By Shamarie Claiborne It's been one crazy day for the KMEA State Band Competition, but I want everyone in ADAIR County and in the ADAIR Band Nation - worldwide - to know that the Adair County Marching Band left the field a few moments ago after turning in an awesome - one of the best of the season performances! We've got our fingers crossed that the judges see it our way, and that we'll be competing in the finals at L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green tonight. The wreck on I-65 caused some major shifts in the program - too many to list now - here. And the stadium in Bowling Green was evacuated during the Grayson County performance when the fire alarm went off. Thankfully the alarm was just the result of someone burning a tortilla in a concession stand - but thank the Lord we do err on the side of safety when the kids are involved, as funny as this situation was. I will be keeping CM readers informed on the Scottsville results and the schedule in Bowling Green as soon as I can after I know. - Shamarie 2012-10-27 14:21:09 | Comments | Printable version
