For the year, Coach Travis Gay's rising program outscored rivals 284-259 in regular season play. Both teams were playing final games of the 2012 season before playoffs. For Adair County, playoffs will mean playing against 3A competition; the Russell County team will be competing in the 4A category. Adair County travels to Paducah, KY, to meet Paducah Tilghman High School (Bing Map/Directions from Anywhere), 2400 Washington Street, Paducah, KY. at 7pmCT, Friday, November 2, 2012, in the Class 3A Gridiron Bowl, played at various locations around the state. Russell County High School will host its postseason playoff game at Russell County High School, (Bing Map/Directions from Anywhere), 2166 S Highway 127, Russell Springs, KY, at 7pmCT, Friday, November 2, 2012, with Marion County in the 2012 Class 4A Gridiron Bowl.
