Judge Ruby Jane Wallace, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. May 26, 2012) Edmonton, KY has lost one of its most beloved citizens. Judge Wallace was known for her embracing, warm smile, and the genuine care she had for others. She was the matriarch of a large, highly regarded Metcalfe County family and the widow of long time Metcalfe County political power, former Sheriff and Judge, and Deputy Judge Gilbert Wallace. She leaves 32 direct living descendants. She was the daughter of the late James Filmore and Minnie Hurt Froedge. Ruby was City Judge from 1968-1977 and worked at Metcalfe Drugs as a store clerk for several years Ruby Jane Wallace age 89 of Edmonton died Saturday, May 26 2012 at the T.J. The devastating fire occurred shortly after the furnace had been fired up for the Sunday morning services.
