Gene McQueary, Casey County (1946-2012)

Gene McQueary was a member of a respected Casey County, KY, family. He leaves Eight direct living descendants. He was an auto mechanic and member of Rocky Road Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing and listening to music with his family and friends. He also enjoyed being on the CB radio, where his handle was 'Ford Man'

Gene McQueary, age 65, of Contown Road, Casey County, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Rev. J.D. McDonald and Rev. Morris Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Road Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the funeral home.



Jackie Mason, Victor Luttrell, Darrell Roy, Ronald Calhoun, Morris Pendleton, and Mose Lee will serve as pallbearers.

Gene McQueary, Casey County (1946-2012)

Born December 19, 1946, in Dunnville, KY, he was a son of the late Arnold Lee McQueary and Ruby Kathleen Lee McQueary. He died Sunday, May 27, 2012, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 5 months, and 8 days.

Gene was an auto mechanic and member of Rocky Road Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing and listening to music with his family and friends. He also enjoyed being on the CB radio, where his handle was 'Ford Man'.

Survivors include the following:
  • His sons: Rex (Angie) McQueary and Pete (Jessica) McQueary, both of Liberty, KY

  • His brothers Audie (Sue) McQueary, John (Judy) McQueary, James 'Boone' McQueary, and Joseph Mark (Lisa) McQueary, all of Liberty, KY

  • His sister: Mary (Michael) Cundiff of Liberty, KY

  • Six grandchildren:Levi, Ashley, Allie, Brooke, Rylee Beth, and Kaydee Sue

  • And friend and mother of his children: Linda Sue McQueary of Liberty, KY
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
