COLUMBIA, KY - A tractor trailer truck hauling ammonium nitrate, acidic acid and blasting caps overturned this morning on Hwy 61, six miles south of Columbia, at approximately 6:51amCT.

Ammonium nitrate and diesel fuel are leaking from the truck leading to the closure of KY 61 from the old Sparksville School to the Breeding community. A detour has been established with the use of Hwy 533, Chestnut Grove Road and KY 0080.

The Kentucky State Police are asking the public to stay away from the area until the roadway is re-opened. Investigators estimate a 4-6 hour closure.
