Old Coddger gets technical on duck count

About: Birds of Kentucky Canada Geese family at Bliss KY

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I also really like this photo and am for sure not trying to stirup anything here, I just count five baby duck eyes. The question was to test your eyes, Ed. Maybe you can admit your eyes might be failing a little also, try using a magnifying glass.

CORRECTION: I think I wrote "five baby duck eyes" it should have been "five baby goose eyes" -The OC
In futher defense of my ability to count and cipher, there are two rows of babies, 3 on the left (with 2 of these facing to the right the other facing to the left). The left hand row has 2 babies and both are facing to the right.

Loves Kenneth Scott photo of Canada geese family

But serious issue arises over number of offspringAbout: Birds of Kentucky Canada Geese family at Bliss KY

I love this photo! Kenneth (Scott) did a great job.

s/Frances Salyers
D & F Grocery & Deli
4731 Edmonton RD, Columbia, KY
In the Village of Gradyville, District 4, Adair Co. , KY

Thanks. It is one of my all time favorites. And it is good to see community rivals at Gradyville and Bliss get along so well. However, already there is major controversy about the photo. We carefully counted four goslings, but Old Coddger, whether in the interest of science or to foment trouble, has counted five little geese? Hope the great minds at D & F can come up with a definitive answer. -Ed Waggener
