LWC Womens Golf leads MSC Fall Tournament at halfway point

<Blue Raider Chelsey Key tops in individual performance

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team leads the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament following today's opening round at Campbellsville Country Club.

The Blue Raiders lead by 12 strokes following an opening round 305. Host Campbellsville (KY) University is second with a 317 and University of the Cumberlands (KY is third after a team total of 323.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team is tied for second following the Monday, September 21, 2009, opening round of the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament hosted at Campbellsville Country Club.

The Blue Raiders shot an opening round team total of 292 to trail host Campbellsville (KY) University (283) by nine stokes heading into Tuesday's final round. Georgetown (KY) College is tied for second while the University of the Cumberlands (KY) is fourth with a 294.

The rose garden is amazingly beautiful again, thanks to all of you hard workers. Knowing that it took lots of hard labor and many hours. Thanks to all of you and many appreciations from the family.

KY Fish & Wildlife conducts hunter certification here

The Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) conducted it's Hunter Education certification Training on September 10 through September 12, 2009, at the Adair County Sportsman's Club, Columbia, KY.

Over 30 young men and ladies were trained in firearms safety, marksmanship, hunter ethics, first-aid and a wide variety of other subjects pertaining to survival in the wild as well as how to be good stewards of the land and natural resources.

I would like to offer a special thanks to Adair Countians Bill Spicer and Joe Vanarsdale for their dedication to our youth and for volunteering their time for such an important cause, as well as the Adair County Sportsman's Club.
