The funeral service for Mary E. Henson Griffith, 84, Russell Springs, KY, a resident of Green Hills Manor in Greensburg, KY at the time of her death, will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQuearyFuneral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. J. Richman Lehman the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Wednesday, September 23, 2009.

Mary E. Henson Griffith, was born on December 11, 1924 in Russell Co., KY, to the late Alvin and Ora Mae Bault Bean and passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 7:05pmCT. at Green Hill Manor in Greensburg, KY, at the age of 84 years, 9 months, and 8 days.

She and was married to Joseph W. Henson who preceded her in deathJune 22, 1977. She was also preceded in death by one son: Milburn R. Henson
She is survived by the following:
  • Four sons: Jimmy Henson of Russell Springs, KY, Gerald L. Hensonof York, PA, Richard T. Henson of Englewood, OH; and Michael R. Henson ofDayton, OH

  • Three daughters:Caroline Sue Clarke of Columbus, OH; Jo Ann Henson ofColumbus, OH: and Mary E. Meixner of Virginia

  • One sister: Wathalene Neal of West, Carrollton, OH

  • And several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: R. C. Bean, Raymond Bean, Wilbur Bean, Maxine Abrell and Emma Lois Wilson.

She was a member of a Baptist Church in Ohio was a homemaker.
