Gas question: Does premium gas get better mpg? To ColumbiaMagazine.com For the past several months I have been wondering about the feasibility of purchasing premium gas over regular gas. By simple math and using a vehicle that averages 20 miles per gallon, one would have to realize an increase of ten percent on the mpg to benefit by buying premium gas.
