Obituary: Eva Hoover, 94, member of Emory Chapel UMC COLUMBIAMAGAZINE.COM OBITUARIES Mrs. Hoover was a homemaker the matriarch of a large, respected family with deep South Adair County roots. She leaves 22 living direct descendants Eva Hoover, 94, formerly of the Chance Community, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008, at 4:15am, at the Golden Ages Retirement Home, 203 W. Guardian ST, Columbia, KY. The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at 11:00amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY with Hack Williamson officiating. She was born May 12, 1914, the daughter of the late Hendryx and Pearl Lewis Humes. She was the widow of Odie R. Hoover, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1994.
Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT, Monday, August 11, 2008, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.
