ACHS Girls Golf team 5th in field of 20 at Somerset Girls Golf Schedule with team photo ColumbiaMagazine.com SPORTS Team shows great improvement over year ago, one week ago. Lauren Goodin has best score, with 79, followed by Natalie Sneed, Emilee Royse, and Natalie Curry. Next: Campbellsville and Taylor County at Pinewood C.C. By Kimberly Goodin The girls' golf team competed this past weekend at the Pulaski Co. Invitational Tournament. The team finished fifth out of 20 teams competing. Adair County shot a 366 which is 20 strokes better than they shot last year in the same tournament. "Last year, we finished 11th overall so I was pleased with our improved scores this year; plus, it was an improvement over the Russellville Invitational last weekend."Glasgow won the tournament with a 315 and Russell Co. finshed second with a 337. Lauren Goodin posted the best score for Adair Co. with a 79.Natalie Sneed shot a 86, Ashley Goodin 91, Emilee Royse 110 and Natalie Curry 113. Lydia Gumm (North Hardin) and April Emerson (Russell Co.) posted the best individual score with a 70. The ACHS Girls' golf team is back in action Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Pinewood as they take on Campbellsville and Taylor County in a tri-match. Green County will be at Pinewood on Thursday, August 14, 2008 to play, and the team travels to Ft. Knox this weekend to play on August 16, 2008, in the Lady Bruin Invitational.
