Riley Grant is 2008 KY Junior Golf Champion

Riley Grant won the 2008 KY Junior Golf Amateur Championship on Thursday, July 10, 2008. He competed in this two day event in Elizabethtown, KY at Pine Valley golf course. Riley had an overall score of 81. Riley is the 10 year old son of Dr. Anthony and Keena Grant.

The Adair County 11 year old all stars lost to C-ville in the Championship game last night @ JJLLP by a score of 10-3. The coaches and players would like to thank the huge crowd that came out to support this team. The coaches would like to especially thank the parents for their dedication and willingness to get their kids to practices and games, we really appreciate it.

Pink Poker Run benefits Komen Breast Cancer Research

The second annual Wings of Pink Poker Run will be July 26 in Campbellsville KY. All proceeds from this ride are for the Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation. POLICE REPORTS

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating a fatal accident which occurred on July 8, 2008, on KY 152, six miles west of Springfield on Thursday, July 10, 2008.

Jeffery D. Glass, 48, Springfield, KY, was traveling eastbound on KY 152 in a 1990 Pontiac 4-door.

Deadline for application for Clown camp at Old Mulkey
Old Mulkey Meetinghouse State Historic Site near Tompkinsville, KY will host "Clown Camp" on Thursday and Friday, July 17 and 18, 2008. The two-day camp for children age 10 and over will give participants an intensive hands-on learning experience on street performing and clowning as taught by members of "The Clockwork Clown & Co."
