Driver airlifted following crash this morning near Raywick, KY POLICE REPORTS A single vehicle injury vehicle crash occurred Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at 8:00amET, one mile north of Raywick, KY, on KY 527, resulting in the driver being flown to U.L. Hospital. Maxine Nalley, 60, was driving a 1992 Buick, travelling north on KY 527, and left the road in a curve, and overturned. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to Kentucky State Police. CU dedicates Gosser Gymnasium; lead gift from Gosser family By Joan C. McKinney, director of university communications A deep love of students, coaches, faculty and staff at Campbellsville University has resulted in a "gemstone on this side of campus" in the Gosser Gymnasium, which was dedicated April 22, 2008. Dr. Donnie Gosser, a member of the CU Board of Trustees, and his wife, Anna, of Elizabethtown, made the lead gift toward the construction of the new gym, which will serve the entire campus. Commentary: Cuts in spending present tough school choices The following commentary is Adair County Superintendent Darrell Treece assessment of the current budget crisis in Adair County Schools; it was issued at the April 24, 2008, Adair County Special Regular School Board Meeting. -EW By Adair County School Superintendent Darrell Treece (April 23, 2008): Reductions in state funding or the next two years will require the Adair County Board of Education to make some difficult decisions in the next six weeks. Kentucky law requires the school baord to adopt a local working budget by May 30. Now that the General Assembly and Gov. Steve Beshear have adopted a 2008-10 state budget, the district's spending plan for next fiscal year must be amended to reflect funding in several areas. Driver injured in Miller Pike & KY 84 crash POLICE REPORTS An injury accident occurred last night, Monday, April 28, 2008, at 11:43pmET at the intersection of Miler Pike and KY 84 in Marion County. John A. Cox, 40, Campbellsville, was traveling north on Miller Pike and failed to stop at the intersection of KY 84. The vehicle left the roadway and came to a rest in a field. The driver was transported to Springview Hospital in Lebanon, KY, by Marion County EMS for trreatment of minor injuries. No seatbelt was in use, according to the Kentucky State Police.
