Cuts in state funding to force tough choices in Adair County Schools

By Adair County School Superintendent Darrell Treece

(April 23, 2008): Reductions in state funding or the next two years will require the Adair County Board of Education to make some difficult decisions in the next six weeks.

Kentucky law requires the school baord to adopt a local working budget by May 30. Now that the General Assembly and Gov. Steve Beshear have adopted a 2008-10 state budget, the district's spending plan for next fiscal year must be amended to reflect funding in several areas.

Letter: Thinks stray boxer from 700 Greensburg ST block

ANIMALS

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

This looks like a boxer that lives close to my house, in the 700 block of Greensburg St. I don't know what the owner's names are, but they live in the yellow house on the corner of Greensburg and Dillon St. It may not be the same dog, but I have seen them out with him and it does look familiar.
